Applying isort and nbstripout.  Changing from ipyparallel to multiprocessing - and while doing so,
simplifying the call signature of characterize_module.

The acquisition rate will be found in fast data files by default (which are now passed as a tuple), and will look into slow data if provided

As there is a return statement in the block to get module information, it might have happened that the function done, but the file descriptor left hanging open
