Draft: Do not merge: simple power procedure for test MPOD

Cyril Danilevski requested to merge test/simple_power_procedure into main

Simplified but similar power procedure on test MPOD in lab.
A caveat is that it's much shorter, and may not be representative of the time taken by the real MPOD (this takes 35s instead of 8 minutes).

Here on Git only for documentation.
Do not merge.
